FC Isle of Man endured a difficult afternoon at Nelson on Saturday, falling to a comprehensive 4-0 defeat in the NWCFL Premier Division.
The hosts took the lead on 16 minutes when Max Cane converted from a corner. Sefton Gonzales doubled Nelson's advantage before the break with a well-struck effort.
After half-time, Luke Hepple added a third just past the hour mark. Matters worsened for the Islanders when goalkeeper Adam Killey was sin-binned for dissent, forcing defender Karl Clark into goal. Despite making several impressive saves, Clark couldn't prevent Billy Priestley heading home a late fourth from a corner.
This marks FC Isle of Man's second defeat of the campaign and their heaviest so far. The Ravens will look to bounce back at home against Charnock Richard on Saturday, 19 September, kicking off at 6pm.
