You can delete your FC Isle of Man account at any time. This page explains how to do it, what deleting removes, what the club has to keep and why, and what to do if you can no longer sign in.
How to delete your account
Deletion is done from inside your own signed-in account. There is deliberately no form on this page: requiring you to sign in is what stops anyone submitting a deletion request against someone else’s email address.
- Sign in to delete your account.
- Open Account, then Delete account.
- Confirm. The account and its sign-in are removed straight away.
If you can no longer sign in — for example you have lost access to the email address on the account — email info@fcisleofman.im from that address, or with enough detail for us to identify the account, and we will delete it for you.
What deleting removes
- Your sign-in. You will not be able to log in again with that email address or with Google.
- Your profile: name, email address, phone number and any saved addresses.
- Your favourites, notification preferences and any app push registrations.
- Any files you uploaded to your account.
- The link between you and your past orders and tickets. They stop appearing in My Orders and My Tickets.
What we keep, and why
We cannot delete everything. Some of it is a financial record we are legally required to keep, and some of it protects other people.
- Orders are kept for seven years to meet tax and accounting obligations. We keep the order itself — the items, amounts, VAT and dates — together with the name and email address that were on the order. We state that plainly rather than bury it: your name and your email address do survive deletion, on those order records.
- At the same time we strip the rest from those orders: delivery addresses, any notes on the order, gift recipient details, and the raw response stored from the payment provider. The order is marked as belonging to a deleted customer and is no longer connected to any account — including a new account someone later opens with the same email address.
- Your email address is added to our do-not-contact list, so the copy we keep on those orders can never be used to email you again.
- Consent records — which address opted in or out of which category, when, and under which version of our policy — are kept as evidence that consent was handled properly. The IP address and device details recorded alongside them are deleted.
- Football camp bookings keep the attendee’s name, age and emergency contact details until the camp has finished, because coaches need them on the day for child safety. They are deleted automatically once the camp has ended.
Tickets and season passes still work
Deleting your account does not cancel anything you have paid for.
- Match tickets and season passes stay valid and still scan at the gate, and a pass you added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet keeps working.
- They will disappear from My Tickets when the account goes, so save, download or print your QR codes before you delete.
- Gift vouchers that have already been issued stay redeemable.
Live stream access ends when you delete
Live streams are the exception to the above, so please read this separately. A stream is played back through your account, so deleting the account ends that access permanently. Unlike a gate ticket there is no QR code to save, nothing to print, and nothing we can restore afterwards.
If you hold a live stream ticket for a match that has not been played, or a replay you still want to see, watch it before you delete your account.
Messages sent through our contact form are not deleted
If you have written to the club using the contact form on this website, that message is not deleted with your account. Contact form enquiries carry no link to an account — they are often sent by people who never registered at all — and we keep them as the club’s own business correspondence.
If you would like a message you sent us removed, email info@fcisleofman.im, tell us roughly when you sent it, and we will remove it.
